In the dog-house...

Sources in Mexico City report today that a medium-sized dog was remanded to his dog-house by local authorities in connection to a case of electrical vandalism.

The minor dog (whose name has not been released pending a full investigation) was found near a washing machine, of which the electrical cord had been chewed from the wall and into two separate pieces. Forensics report that the tooth marks on the electrical cord do indeed match a bite sample given by the suspect.

A witness states that the dog had accidentally locked himself on the service patio for a period of at least several hours, judging from the condition of the clothes scattered around on the floor. The clothing had been previously hung to dry, ostensibly out of reach of the dog.

"We were just playing in our room, when S___ went to look at something behind the patio door. Before I knew what happened, the door slammed shut, with S___ on the other side! I tried scratching at the door a few times, but it just wouldn't open. I can't say what S___ did out there, but he was gone for at least several days," [editor's note: divide 'several days' by seven], reports an eyewitness, who wishes to remain nameless.

Upon his arrival, a cohabitant of the dogs immediately released the dog from the patio and notified authorities. Emergency surgery was performed on the washing machine, using clothespins and ingenuity, but the machine will most likely have to seek professional care.
